The Ebano Dome Exotic Ebony Wood Cigar Humidor from the Exotica Collection

Ebony made famous by the Ebonaceae family is found worldwide in hundreds of varieties. It's name is Greek for "Fruit of the Gods" and was originally used for drinking goblets. It is found primarily in India, Africa and Southeast Asia and in America as Persimmon. A one hundred year old tree would be just 50 feet tall and one and one half feet around. It has a fine texture and a straight to wavy grain, and finishes to a beautiful sheen the wood is so dense that pilot holes are needed before nailing. Because of its hardness, durability and its ability to take a high polish it is used for piano keys, knife handles, turnings, cabinetwork and in this case Fine Humidors.
